A STUDY IN BLACK
Traditional omamori are often rich in color and ornament.
KIONÉ strips those elements away and recasts them in black.
What remains is the form of the omamori,
and the empty space for meaning.
“墨 - SUMI” is a small art object
born from that reinterpretation.
Inside is a single sheet of Japanese washi paper.
Write one goal you want to achieve and place it inside.
The artwork is completed by one final act from you.
